I really enjoyed this story, the ending made me wonder if we were done with the series because although it was left open there was no cliff hanger.
Many many questions were left for us to ponder on (in a good way) there were doors opened, enemies and new allies made, strange happenings and new characters all ready to be explored. So Iโm glad there is another book to come!
Yet again the world building was well done, but I was a little lost with a few of the choices and sub plots along the way. Some things were unnecessary or perhaps under developed? Like the cave, I love that idea, but it read like that scene needed to be there to fill a problem rather than to add to the story. I loved it but it was there and gone within a few lines and that was thatโฆ I found the same thing happen with a few of the choices the characters made, I appreciated the choices had to be made, I liked them even, but I wish there was more depth and padding around them so they didnโt feel like they were filling a gap or adding a tropeโฆ

What was the point in the jealous ex/not ex? I didnโt get that, I was getting into the fact she may have competition and a challenge on her hands but that particular avenue was so underdeveloped that it felt quite stupid.
I thought there was going to be more, more interruptions or appearances, more history or depth in her character, or even some hidden twist in a connection to an enemy or somethingโฆ
I appreciated sky as a character on her own and as half of the lesbian couple, both parts of the story were well written and described.
The locals all seemed lovely, but I didnโt understand the pub scene, it was another one of the underdeveloped ideas in my opinion. Some more explanations, an extended meeting with the bar keep or something more would have brought that point home clearer without it feeling rushed or last minute.
Obviously I loved col and his brother, great characters who had a fun and deep relationship that I really enjoyed exploring.

A few character choices didnโt pan out for me,
I felt some twists/ actions were to abrupt and came across as less believable. Still no spoilers so Iโll just say when the FMC was picked up by the prince on the griffins I thought their would have been more defiance and fight or the opposite and instead we would see fear and hopelessness, either way I expected more emotion, pain, pride or something. Not for her to just go along with everything as she did. I just didnโt believe her character at that point. There were others but I canโt say anything further without spoilers.

I wouldnโt re read unless I was catching up prior to the next book but I will be recommending it!

The story line was brilliant, I loved it more than the first book, the chemistry between the characters was raw and emotional and the characters themselves were pure brilliance!

I managed to finish it but it was rubbish. I won't keep a physical copy and won't recommend it, butย it's a shame as the plot could have made a good book in another author's hands

It was OK. I wish I didn't start this one as it didn't do it for me as I struggled to read it. It had an interesting premise that fell flat but I had to see what happened in the end.

I don't regret reading it, and I will read the next one, but this one did have a few flaws. [These could be repetitive writing, gaps or plot holes, better character growth or world building, areas needing more detail]
Generally, the book lacked depth and became confusing. The plot resonated with me even though it annoyed me on the whole.

I'm glad I read it. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to the right people, but I wanted more! Sadly, it's easily forgettable with a few issues I just couldn't overlook/get past.

Good book! I loved it, but... I needed more! I really did enjoy it, but it had a few parts that needed more detail or added history/background or lore. But that's because the story or characters were memorable, and the plot was strong with brilliant twists. I would re-read if I needed to catch up for the next book and would recommend.

This is my God level tier. The book must be perfectly memorable. Even after reading 50+ more books, I will remember character names and emotions along with the plot. If there is a special edition, then I need to own it! If there is a conversation on books- I'm talking about this!
