The release of Between Sky & Sea was a total surprise and I didn't get to read it at release time and I think that worked in my favour. This is the MMC POV of Between Tides & Thunder, and it was very enjoyable to read from Zev's POV and watch him fall for Mayah and how he reacts to the twists and turns throughout the story. It honestly made me love Zev even more! That said, I am glad there was a bit of distance between my reading of the two books, because it may have been a bit repetitive from some sections since you obviously already know what is going to happen. So as an alternate POV it's fantastic, but I do think you need to read BTAT first. I think when I reread in the future I would do the tandem read!
