I enjoyed this dark dystopian paranormal story. The main plot and the dark vibes were so intriguing, and the constant battle between humans and "monsters" forced to live together is always alluring. I loved both the FMC vampire and the MMC human POVs... both backstories were really interesting to read, though there were a lot of unanswered questions about them.
And the slow-burn felt more like insta-love to me, because everything happened in such a short time and they were talking about "love" pretty quickly ❤️🔥
I also would have loved to know more about the unique magic every vampire gets when converted, about the connection between the Paranormal Council and their human families, about how Marz went from being an excellent assassin to such a kind teacher, and some other details I honestly couldn't quite grasp while reading. The pacing felt a bit off from time to time, and that made me struggle with the reading experience.
As I said, the main idea and the vibes were really great, but I couldn't totally connect with the characters and the story.
