Lacy is an artist, who has a traumatic past and a family who made her feel unworthy so she doubts her artistic talent. Trevor is a resident doctor with family issues of his own, a sister who is clearly going through something and a brother on the wrong track. Trevor needs a roommate and Lacy needs somewhere to live, seems a simple solution for her to move in. They agree to a friends with benefits arrangement to help each other avoid their pain, as long as they both follow Lacy's rules, #1 being no developing feelings.
Throughout the story Lacy is troubled by her past and Trevor is so supportive and always there for her. There are so many sweet moments between them, even though sometimes Lacy is sometimes running scared she also grows a lot, as does Trevor. There were some parts where I wanted to know a little bit more, but there were also some great twists along the way. Overall I really enjoyed their stories.
