This started well, the spice was intriguing as was the relationship between the main characters but it just dragged on...
I kept getting annoyed at the relationship though
I enjoyed the first half of this, It was fast-paced, quite intriguing, and devilishly spicy.
However, the second half of the book just dragged and ruined the whole experience. The constant hot and cold, every other page became very tiresome and annoying. The main characters had the same argument over and over and over again, in every darn chapter.
And each time I thought we were done with it and finally moving past it, making progress, but it was just repeatedly going round in circles. I kept thinking why doesn't she say this, or do that and that would end this but no common sense seemed to live in her head, It was relentless.
The plot was completely forgotten most of the time as other themes were repeated and the monotonous drawl of the same fighting/arguing still continuing past the 85% mark!
There was no character development at all either, it was another thing I kept thinking was coming- ah I see how this challenge or situation could help the character but nope.
Also, the way the MMC talked just gave me serious ick half the time, I'm all for dark romances, extra rough spice and things but this was just unnecessary most of the time. It's the first time I've ever thought the spice was pointless!
