Review: A Court of Mist and Fury

This was so much better than the first book. Everything about it feels richer, darker, and more compelling, with the world expanding in the best ways, the characters finally get real depth, and the emotional stakes hit so much harder.

I now understand why everybody hates Tampon. The shift in perspective and the way certain dynamics unfold made me go from “wait, what?” to full agreement with the fandom on that front. No notes.

There were twists and turns I wasn’t expecting that kept me completely hooked. Just when I thought I had a handle on where the story was going, it would veer in a direction that left me reeling. So excited to see what happens next, and seeing what obstacles everybody is going to go through, and hopefully overcome.
