She’s the inferno.~ Aurora is an author whose career is stalled after not delivering the next book in her popular series. Fired by her agent, broke, single - she takes on the challenge of renovating and flipping the old beach house her mum inherited. She has no interest in sticking around. Jack is the smoking hot firefighter neighbour and finds himself tangled up in Aurora's renovation. Unwilling to see her struggle, he can't resist helping this chaotic character living next door and he's always finding subtle ways to support her. Of course he's also crazy about her, for the first time he wants something more than a summer fling, but she's leaving soon and can't offer him more. “I need you to be mine. In every season. In every lifetime.” The banter and tension between the two is fantastic and the steamy scenes are sooo good. There is a whole story about the previous owner of the home with mysterious clues hidden through the property. One of my favourite elements was the long distance friendship with her two author besties, they clearly love and support each other. 700 Senses of Summer is book two in the Romantics series but can be read as a standalone. Thank you to Maggie Gates and The Author Agency for the advanced copy, my opinions are my own.
