I mean… this is how you write a second book!! The writing is so beautiful!!

To say Emmeline and Roremar’s love story is epic is a complete understatement. We already knew this from the first book- but this second installment just took it over the top. The YEARNING from Roremar in this book…. I have no words. You can really feel his internal struggles with grief and guilt - but his love for Emmeline never waivers. We see Emmeline finally come into her own and say finally say F IT!! The two of them together are unstoppable.
The world building and folklore are a lot- and you really have to follow closely so you don’t miss a single clue. The clues all come from the Fates and their riddles- so it’s hard to piece anything together before the characters do.
Once again- the cliff hanger of an end is diabolical. Can’t wait for the next book!!!
