Huge thank you to Astra Publishing House, Astra Young Readers, Lynette Noni, and Netgalley for the advance copy of this book. All opinions are my own and freely given.
It’s no secret that I adored reading Akarnae (even if it took me forever to spell it right). I knew Raelia was going to be amazing. I did. I loved Alex, DC, Bear, and Jordan. What I did not expect was that Lynette Noni was going to take this beautiful band of friends and have each and every one of them (plus some extras) take out my heart and STOMP ON IT.
My gods. I thought we were going to get a wilderness trials kind of setting and let me tell you fam, THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY. That wasn’t just Survivor lite, that was… that was actual life or death. And the last chapters of this book had me bawling my eyes out. I know it’s words on a page, but the emotions it tore from me with these friends, and especially Alex. My gods, Alex. I was not expecting the turn that it took. I am absolutely hooked. I can’t stop reading this series! Lynette Noni is a genius. She really is. She builds these worlds and I believe I am walking with the characters as they traverse their lives and I GOT ATTACHED. I got attached.
Raelia hits shelves on November 17, and if you haven’t already read Akarnae, do that while you wait for this one to release. Trust me when I say, it’s worth your time. Don’t sleep on it. Or I will find you and sit with you until you read it. I will. Don’t test me people.
