Heir of Secrets and Fate is book two in the Mythic Spark series, and it begins right where Heir of Secrets and Stardust ended.
The beautiful story from book one carried on flawlessly through Heir of Secrets and Fate. The emotions. The scenery. The intricate plots. It’s all still there. I know book two is often the dreaded book in most series, but there is no need for dread— not in this case. Heir of Secrets and Fate is as good, if not better than book one.
Heir of Secrets and Fate wrung every ounce of emotion out of me, and I may never recover. The amount of emotional damage is of the charts in this book. Over and over again, my heart kept breaking for Nyleeria.
I genuinely could not put this book down, though sometimes I absolutely had to so I could sit with the emotions it stirred. While being incredibly heavy, Heir of Secrets and Fate was exceptionally beautiful. A true work of art.
The magic system CC has created is intricate, and at times I felt like a needed a diagram to understand it all. Moving forward, I think I will make one because we learn that there is a whole lot that we thought we knew that turned out to be incorrect or incomplete for reasons .
As for Endymion, cue up that jingle, “I wasssss right! I was right! I was right”
After the ending of Heir of Secrets and Fate, I am REALLY hoping book three will bring the feminine rage— heavens know Ny deserves to unleash it at this point. I need book three post haste!
