Thank you to Happily Booked ARC for the ARC — this review is my honest opinion.
Tropes: 🎥Practical Magic x You’ve Got Mail 🌊small town (island in the PNW) ✨four sister witches ❤️rivals to lovers 💌 secret pen pals (online) 🔥 Slow burn 🙋🏻♀️eldest daughter
Pumpkins, Potions, & Postscripts combines aspects of Practical Magic with You've Got Mail. The FMC Lillian is a witch and she runs a store that sells plants. She has been chatting with a pen pal over the internet for some time now. Silas, the main male character, has recently opened a new plant store and brewery that directly competes with Lillian's shop. He has also been communicating with a pen pal online. Lillian and Silas often clash with each other, but in the end, they come together to tackle a spooky problem occurring in Silas's store.
I found this book to be incredibly cute and enjoyable to read. I really enjoyed the way Silas and Lillian connected and related to each other. This book captures all the practical magic feelings that are perfect for enjoying the fall season. This book was a pleasure to read. This is a slow burn but once they get together it gets spicy.
You'll adore this book if you're a fan of Halloween, cozy fall vibes, and cute romantic comedies.
