Two psycho killers stuck hiding together because they messed up? Yep, Upsurgence by Stella Eve was exactly what I wanted. 😂
This was such a fun, fast-paced read, full of chemistry, action, and banter that had me laughing out loud. Kimmi’s snarky comments and Kenji’s unpredictability were easily my favourite parts. I never quite knew what he would do next, and I couldn’t get enough of these two.
The pace was a little faster than I expected, and I was a bit confused at the beginning when characters from book one were mentioned. I’d definitely recommend reading that one first for the background. Once I found my footing, though, I was happily along for the chaos.
If you love unhinged characters, plenty of chemistry, and fantastic banter, this one is well worth picking up.
