Property of Shotgun kicks off Janine Infante Bosco’s Kings of Anarchy MC: New York series, and this was such a fantastic MC romance. Shotgun and Irish aren't just brothers in the club. They're best friends. Where one goes, the other is never far behind. But when Irish is killed right in front of Shotgun by a rival group, Shotgun is left torn between two things: getting vengeance for his brother and stepping up for the family Irish left behind- Jade, his pregnant widow, and their children. And there is absolutely nothing Shotgun wouldn't do for them.
The kids already adore their Uncle Shotty, but his relationship with Jade is much more complicated. Shotgun has secretly loved her since they first met. Yet while Irish was alive, that was a line he would never cross. He kept his distance and respected their marriage. Now they're both grieving the same man while trying to figure out how to keep this family together. And THIS is where this book got me. For all the violence (and yes, this is an MC romance with some seriously graphic violence and a man hell-bent on getting revenge for his best friend), the relationship between Jade and Shotgun is incredibly sweet. This isn't two grieving people immediately jumping into bed together. It's a healing journey. It's friendship and trust slowly shifting into something more. Shotgun doesn't simply want Jade; he loves her children, protects their family, and will literally walk through hell for them.
🎧 THE AUDIOBOOK
The dual narration by Emery Blake and Clark Dawson was off the charts. They were a fantastic combination, but I have to give Emery Blake extra credit for that Brooklyn accent. She absolutely nailed it. Like Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny nailed it! 😂
I'm already a Janine Infante Bosco fan and have listened to all of her currently available audiobooks, so this was an easy grab for me. Property of Shotgun was a fabulous addition to her MC world, and I'm already looking forward to more from the Kings of Anarchy. Bosco is officially an auto-click author for me. 🖤🏍️
