Maeve is a witch who doesn’t want her magic. She hurt her bff, Ash, while trying to cast with her. Ash becomes interested in a Revenant known to wonder their coven’s marsh named Rowen aka Lady of the Fens. Ash figures out she’s being imprisoned in the Gardner Museum. When Ash tries to investigate, Maeve follows to the “Other Marsh.” Upon returning they learn the lady has pierced the veil and has taken on new victims. Alongside new friend and uncovened Gabriel, the three must figure out exactly how the Lady is tied to the art heist of 1990, how they can save the North Shore Coven, and how to stop the Lady once and for all.
Overall a cute read! Kept my attention. I thought the immersion of the magical world and present day New England was creative and cozy! I also really enjoyed the ending. It wasn’t all “perfect” in the end, but it seemed that it ended how it should’ve been and how it was meant to. Good read!
