To start off I've never read a Political fantasy before so I thought this would be a good opportunity for me to expand my horizons while keeping an open mind. One of the issues I had was the pacing seemed a bit off to me some parts were slow and some seemed too drawn out like the political factors but I understand that aspect was nessessary for the plot, and the ending was a touch rushed but given all that the book was still amazing to read maybe not 100% my cup of tea but definitely a good start to opening up to new things on my reading journey! I also kinda get slight hunger games vibes here which I kinda liked and it also reflected well on real-world issues. This was definitely one of the most eye opening and intriguing reads I've had yet and im excited to see what else is in store!
