HOLY. PLOT. TWIST?!?! 😭🎄 I went in expecting a Hallmark-ass Christmas story where one MC is a holiday grump who gets dragged into the Christmas spirit, and Secret Santa said, “Cute idea, but what if we took that in a COMPLETELY different direction?” I genuinely did not expect the turns this story took, and I LOVE when a book manages to surprise me like that!
Annie and Nick are definitely giving grumpy x grumpy, but they fit together SO well. Watching Annie try to reconcile with her “temporary” reality while also working through her grief was such a meaningful part of the story. Her journey wasn't just about accepting what was happening to her, but finally allowing herself to face the feelings she'd been carrying. And having Nick there to help her navigate it all made their connection that much sweeter. 🥹❤️
And then there's NICK. SIR. HELLO?! 🥵🔥 Because apparently this book wanted to deliver emotional depth and a whole-ass smokeshow. Between the unexpected plot twists, the chemistry, and Annie's journey toward making peace with her grief, this was so much more than the cozy holiday story I thought I was getting. A little Christmas magic, a whole lot of feelings, and one VERY fine man. What more could I ask for?! 🎄❤️
