Portland Pathfinder’s quarterback, Cash Curren has his sights on pop phenomenon Lyric Adair, and the feeling is mutual. Their publicists, Poppy Peterson & Rosaline Sinclair have to put their PR heads together when the power couple starts dating. While the PR duo often butts heads professionally — sexual tension, and some feels begin to build between Poppy and Rosaline. A scandal threatens everything in their world, both professionally and personally, for everyone.
While the celebrity power couple has some striking similarities to our favorite English teacher & gym teacher, they’re just a side story. Playing for Keeps is a sapphic love story between “the girl next door” Poppy, and “cutthroat” Rosaline. Both will do anything to protect their clients, considering their clients are basically family. Alexandria Bellefleur is a master of building the sexual tension between the leading characters, and she does not disappoint in this novel. You can palpate the feelings building between Poppy and Roseline with their banter throughout the story. The spice scenes are sexy and the love between Poppy and Roseline is sweet. It’s a cute, sapphic love story, and I throughly enjoyed it.
