A Fortune that Defies Fate was such an intense read. Set in a really dark world, there wasn't a single moment to relax — always being punished, chased, hunted, or worse... And that was just the first world.
I absolutely enjoyed reading about Nypheria, the magic, the curses, and all the secrets! The world-building was so interesting, and we get to see so many islands and meet so many fantastic people while searching for the most important treasure.
I loved Willa. She was an amazing FMC, trying to help and do the right thing, even when everything was against her (against all women, actually). She was lovely from the start, but her personal growth was remarkable. And the banter with Dash was so funny. It was engaging and lovable from their very first interaction ("Thank you, God" 🤭). The whole crew was amazing, and I loved being part of the Rogue Temptress. Well, all but one 👀
The ending has an intriguing cliffhanger that will leave you craving the sequel!
