I received this ARC from the author Jillian Witt and I thank her for this amazing opportunity to read and give my honest review.
Trials of the Cursed is the conclusion to Emberline and Hart's story (not the end of the series) and boy is it amazing! 🤩 I was eating up every page I really love their dynamic! Emberline is still struggling with her emotions after everything she's lost in book one and her vulnerability is very present in this book. With her emotions reeling and the fact her magic is tied to her feelings made the story much more intense and emotional I absolutely loved that her struggles in book two really bring more depth to her character. Hart is still the compelling morally Grey character hes always been and the tension between him and Ember keeps me hooked 😍. The trials themselves bring the story together and have this strong urgency and danger to them that made it even more interesting and had me riveted to the page. Im sorry to see their story come to an end (hopefully we can see glimpses of them throughout the series) but it was a beautiful, engaging perfect finally to their duology!
