Book: Time & Truths by Kate Messick

I loved the cliffhanger at the end of book two and couldn't wait to see how it resolved. I thought the trails plotline was great and it made total sense; Xan had been interfering with Quinn's Intentions so it tracked the families would be suspicious (even if most of them are awful). I felt all of Quinn's frustrations at the injustice of it all though as it became clear how everything could be twisted.
Cayden is still my standout MMC; my heart continues to break for him after what he has gone through and his development hasn't felt rushed nor his mental struggles magically fixed now he is with Quinn. The found family does feel a little split but Rowan is trying his hardest to be the glue which holds them together. I was expecting Angela to appear looking for some reparations though. Xan and Ezra's development is getting there too if it's taking a minute. I liked how Quinn encouraged her relationship with Ezra directly too rather than as part of XanRa as Ezra hadn't felt as prevalent until this book.
There is just still so much going on though and I am wondering how its all going to be resolved in the final book. I have found the world building a little confusing overall when it comes to the tethers and I am struggling with the dragon element of Quinn's magic. I think I have missed something along the way as although I love it, I don't understand it. I am hoping we get the answer to what Quinn actually is and her full backstory before the end of the series as it has been a wild ride.
My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
