This was one hell of a wild ride ( pun intended). While there was a bit too much going on for the pacing of this story I absolutely loved the vibe and concept. I got lost at times in the slight lack of exposure but since it's a trilogy I'm expecting things to be a bit clearer in the second one.
The characters were real, lovable and funny. The vampire moody attitude gave me some massive Astarion vibes and I am here for it. I devoured the plot twist and did not predict any of them ( which is rare for me). This book keeps you on your toes and gives a beautifully dark and gloomy atmosphere. Overall I really enjoyed it and will continue the series for sure.
