Book: Pretty Savage by Lexi Davis

This book is not a standalone. You need to have read the previous book to understand what is going on in this one. And it still ends on a cliffhanger!
This instalment, like the first one, was a page-turner. It’s quite fast-paced, and I needed to know what was going to happen. If the first book sets the scene, the second is where things pick up, and stuff happens.
Now this book also brings up quite a few sensitive topics, like alcoholism, dependency on it and substances, and how it not only affects the person but also people around them, like their loved ones.
We not only learn a lot more about the scale of the Order, but also about some people’s motivations, like Carrson’s father and Samantha’s mother. Everything we discover about people in the first book becomes suddenly so much more complex that you finish the book with even more questions.
And now I need both book three and one about Samantha and Thomson!
Overall, a good second book in the series. It’s dark, not that spicy, and touches on sensitive subjects. Now I need to read the prequel....
