I absolutely love rom coms- they are my favorite type of movie. I also love to read books that take the spirit of the rom com and bring it to life in a new, fresh way. Would Like to Meet is definitely one of those books. Evie is an agent's assistant, who at one point dreamed of being a screenwriter. Instead, she is trying desperately to get her agency's biggest client (who she refers to as NOB throughout the story) to write his next big film, which just happens to be a romantic comedy. In a last ditch ploy she decides to act out every meet cute she knows of in order to spur on his writing. This story is full of references to all of the great movies I've loved over the years, but it is a laugh out loud journey for Evie as she really becomes her own person. I'm not lying when I say I stayed up all night reading it- I just had to find out how it all wrapped up. This one definitely did not disappoint. Can't wait to see what Rachel Winters writes in the future! (One last side note to those who have read this- I could not stop picturing J.J. Feild as Ben. lol)
