Oh my gosh! This book. 🥺😍 Wow! It gave me two very consistent reactions: smiling until my cheeks hurt and choking back sobs.
Keepsakes and Kismet is oh-so-sweet and heart-wrenching all at once. Peyton and Callum are absolutely adorable. Their very first meet-cute turns into multiple meet-cutes, and somehow each one gets even cuter and funnier. Their banter is delightful and ridiculously hilarious, and I loved every second of it.
This story is beautifully layered with strong family bonds, grief, healing, and a love story unfolding in the most magical way. Peyton and Cal can only be described as kismet, and their love story quickly became one of my favorites. The way they become each other’s person without even realizing it, the way they show up for each other’s mental health struggles without hesitation, and the tender way their curiosity about one another slowly unfolds into something beautiful made this story pure serotonin and comfort. 🥺
I also loved the way certain pieces of the story slowly began falling into place, leaving you holding your breath and waiting for the characters to discover what you already know. It created such a wonderful layer of tension and kept me completely invested.
The grief aspect is especially well written and packs a serious emotional punch. I struggled to make it through many of those scenes without absolutely bawling my eyes out. The side characters and found-family dynamic also brought so much humor and warmth to an already fantastic story.
All in all, Farrah Colson has delivered a story that is sweet, adorable, hilarious, and guaranteed to tug on your heartstrings. Peyton and Cal’s story is one I’ll be thinking about for a while. 💕🥺
