I have loved every book in this series and I was so sad knowing this was the last time we would see the Kings all together but this? This was such a fitting last chapter for these men.
Shane and Adriana were college sweethearts that were pulled apart by tragedy and circumstance. Two young adults who were doing their very best and who loved each other very much and made the best choices at the time but also wound up being the worst choices. OH THE DRAMA AND PAIN.
Now, they meet again as adults and the stakes are raised, the yearning is real, and the choices? Not much better. And did I mention she's married to his new boss? Yeah. This is NOT a sweet, easy going second chance romance. It's messy, ugly, and fraught with choices that no one wants to make.
Yet - it's exactly why I love a Kandi Steiner book. Every twist and turn is swoon worthy, or breath taking, or pearl clutching.
I loved this book, these characters, this whole series. Read the TW and read with care. This was INTENSE but it was worth every single emotion. Promise.
