Of Blooming Embers is the second book in the Fate of the Embers series and if book one Of Withering Dreams broke your heart grab some tissues!
As Seryn and Gavrel search for Kaden they are battling against their feelings for each other, and desires. OBE brings the heat with extra spice and angst, who is still with me on Team Both Brothers?! (Advantage to Gavrel after some of these spicy scenes 🥵).
At the same time Seryn is exploring her powers more and training, whilst learning more about her family's history. The new environments and characters are so intriguing, the world building continues on seamlessly and our favourite villain makes an appearance. Breena may be my favourite stabby bestie of all time, she's so witty but has a heart of gold. Her relationship with Seryn develops even more in OBE and she has some brilliant sassy and stabby moments.
One minute a reveal has me thinking oh yeah I totally thought that would be the case, next minute I'm blindsided by a twist that keeps me guessing. Magic, prophecies, mysteries, family trees ... more is revealed but there is also still so much more to come, I can't wait to see where the series goes next. And that ending?! ARGH!!!
