Overview
This book was a dystopian story featuring a why choose (MMMMF/F) dynamic. In this book, a rift opening in the world causes some people to develop powers. The FMC is Ananke. She manages to flee from the hold of some religious zealots. She eventually meets a group that rescues her, and they start a relationship.
What I Loved
I enjoyed the idea behind this book. I found it interesting to learn about the powers that everyone had. I wish it had explored that further. I hoped there would be increased action involving the special powers.
What Didn't Work
I like spicy books, yet this one centred mostly on the steamy moments with the characters, and the storyline felt secondary. I found myself jumping over a few pages to get back to the core story.
Verdict
It was a decent book, though adding more action could have improved it significantly.
