Cillian's solitary cabin life is interrupted when Ellie, the 19-year-old daughter of a former friend, is dropped on his doorstep without warning. Cillian is immediately obsessed with the young woman and accepts a job as a college hockey coach to stay close to her as she begins her college life. Despite his intense attraction to her, Cillian is able to keep his hands to himself... until Christmas sees them snowed in at his cabin.
This book was SO steamy. Cillian is the most down-bad man I’ve ever read. He’d do anything (and I do mean anything) for Ellie, even while telling himself it’s “wrong.” Real talk: she’s an adult when they meet, so it is only right, right, right.
I love that Ellie was the one to pursue Cillian. It's so empowering to see a young woman chase after her dreams! 😂 On a serious note, her father sucks, and she deserves to find happiness with someone who will protect her and make her feel safe.
Love the cameo from Hayden Lockwood and how feral he is for Madison! Now I want to reread Kings of Castlebrook immediately.
