Emmett and Stella ... best friends since they were children, high school sweethearts, and now a second chance romance for the ages.
He's a football player, she's a travelling nurse, and they've been avoiding crossing each other's paths since college and when they collide it's anything but a bad call.
As a player for the Rock City Renegades, we get the revisit some of our favorite players from The Throwback. Double Play, and Mr. Irrelevant, and get the become even more invested in those couples and some of the side characters even more. Oh, but the love story between Emmett and Stella? And the heat? and the drama? And the EFF IT moment? It's all so delicious.
I loved walking beside these two as they found their way back together, put their past behind them, and stood up to their baggage.
It's never too late for a second chance and it's never too late to tell meddling jerks to STFU. Which is something I need to be reminded of from time to time.
