This one was SO close to a full 5 stars for me!
Aelie is a human who can wield magic, which isn't supposed be possible. She's just trying to keep herself and her sister afloat when things go sideways. And the execution scene? Wow, I was not expecting that. When she breaks the binding rune, things just really take off!
Kairos is a total badass, with vengeance on his mind, he is unstoppable.
Not to mention the slow burn was worth it. The spice doesn't miss!
A couple things could've been stronger, but that's nitpicking. And Uther and Rheya's bonus chapter?take my money now, I need their book NOW!
