In this sapphic thriller, within the first pages of this book, our main character, Lucy has already been bitten by the mysterious vampire. At first she has no idea that she now a “thrall,” which is the time frame between being human and turning into a vampire. The really strange thing is the university campus radio seems to know things regarding this vampire. Lucy ends up befriending the ‘DJ,” her RA (resident advisor) in her dorm and Natalie (just a random girl that invited her to a party). The four of them, with help from the very strange resource librarians, decide to take on this vampire and stop him from turning anyone else on campus.

The book is fast paced and it really keeps you guessing whether or notwill survive the vampire infection. The author did a wonderful job making me love these characters! Lucy is trying to find her own way in the world away from her overprotective mother. Athena is trying to bring down the vampire that attacked her. Mila is trying to avenge the death of her dear friend. Natalie… well she is just trying to have fun and get through college (I loved her character). These ladies make up Lucy’s found family! I can’t forget the librarians, Hiro and Laurentious. Much to everyone’s surprise, they become family too.
