Mind Reader is a cute contemporary romance that combines elements of enemies to lovers, workplace rivals, witty banter, both having to work through their own issues that kept them from pursuing love, and a fight against a common enemy, all told in the dual point-of-view format. If I had my way, most romance novels would be formatted that way since there are always 2 main characters who go through all these things to fall in love. I like to hear from both of them!
I listened to the audiobook version on Audible, and I really liked the narrators. They both had great voices and kept it interesting with different accents as required and varying emotional degrees in tone. It was done well.
Mind Reader was a very good book, and I plan on going back to read the Kindle version because I originally had that version open while listening to the audiobook version, but the audio version skipped a bunch of stuff that was in the regular book. I thought I might get a little more detail, and sometimes, I struggle with concentration with an audiobook, so I want to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
