I borrowed this from Libby on 10/28 and began listening on 10/31. Only chose to listen while at work. I finished the audio today, 11/05/2025. And I must say..... MIND FRICKIN BLOWN! Picking up immediately after The Games Gods Play, which I was lucky to do, was the right call, so that everything was still fresh in my mind. Lyra is stuck in Tartarus and is trying to get out. Boone is also with her. Be prepared for tons of time travel. There are many trials and locks that have to be cracked. During these, Lyra begins to release that there is a glamour placed over everybody. She is able to remove glamours eventually, but has also begun to realize that the Titans are not as evil as they have been toted to be. Kronos, in fact, begins to treat her as if she is his child. Rhea likewise. All of the gods have holograms with their locked rooms for their trials. There is a Hades room, and even Tartarus Hades is basically enamored with her. Kronos does let it known that he knows Lyra's true name, the one she was born with. At one point, Lyra even says that the Titans are her family, which was insane but shows the growth she has in regards to believing she was unlovable due to a curse from Zeus. There's just so much to take in, and absolutely I am still processing. There are a few spicy scenes, and some scenes that will make you say WTF?!? Personally, the shipping of Boone and Persephone still has me scratching my head. I know this is supposedly the last book but I feel like there is more to come and can only hop that there is.
