Book: Meet Cute Magic by Morgan Elizabeth

Morgan Elizabeth is a new-to-me author, and Meet Cute Magic was exactly what the title promised- absolutely CUTE. Book nerd (and witch- I will add) Rosie believes she and her sisters are cursed to never find true love. So what's a witch to do? Summon the ghost of the witch who cursed them and demand he retract it, of course. Seems perfectly reasonable. Except said ghost happens to be the grandfather of Jack, the nerdy, grumpy owner of the video game shop across the street. An owner who despises Rosie and her sisters so much that he literally has a NO MAYFIELDS ALLOWED sign hanging in his window. Naturally, one of the items Rosie needs to reverse the curse is something Jack possesses. What follows is absolute chaos and mischief as Rosie and Jack reluctantly team up to hunt down the ingredients on a magical spell list.
Grumpy/sunshine and slow burn are two of my favorite tropes, and this story delivered both with wit and charm by the bucketful. Even better? This is the closest I've come to getting those beloved Charmed sister vibes since my favorite witch sisters left the airwaves. The sister dynamic, the magic, and the absolute mayhem just worked for me. I even “read” this one using the read-aloud feature (If you have followed me- you already know I am primarily as audiobook listener.) Is it as fantastic as a full-cast or beautifully narrated audiobook? No. But when you REALLY want to read a book that isn't available in audio yet, a bookworm does what a bookworm has to do. 😂
I highly recommend Meet Cute Magic. It was charming, funny, magical, and just plain fun. Morgan Elizabeth, you have officially landed on my radar. I'll absolutely be checking out more of your books in the future. 🔮📚✨
