Review No Spoilers: If you thought the secrets and chaos of No Safe Bet were intense, this one takes everything to the next level! The story picks up right where the previous book left off, throwing us straight back into the mystery surrounding the elusive Candyman.
As long-buried secrets begin coming to light, Prin finds herself facing even greater danger. Someone is determined to destroy everything she’s built, and the deeper she digs, the harder it becomes to know who she can actually trust. The suspense, hidden identities, shifting loyalties, and stalker vibes kept me guessing and constantly wondering what was going to happen next.
And then there’s him. 🖤 A morally gray billionaire heir who has been protecting Prin from the shadows. Dangerous, powerful, and completely determined to keep her safe, his growing feelings for her add an addictive layer of tension to an already high-stakes story. The he falls-first energy? YES. Give me all of it!
I loved the combination of dark academia, college romance, enemies to lovers tension, slow burn, morally gray protector, and mystery. The romance simmers beneath all the danger while the Candyman mystery continues to pull you deeper into the story.
Dark, suspenseful, addictive, and packed with secrets, this is the kind of book that makes you want to keep turning pages just to find out who is really behind it all. 🖤🔪
