We first meet Emily in 1996 while she’s in college with a rock musician boyfriend. Emily is fully ready to take the leap and go with him and his band to L.A. when he tells her that she’s not going. After an emotionally charged and draining day, Emily does something drastic then succumbs to sleep from everything. When she wakes, she’s thrust into the future.

I went into this book thinking it would be like the first one I read of hers where the FMC slipped back in time, except this one was the opposite. The FMC in this one jumps forward. At first I was slightly confused but then quickly realized that this book done the opposite. Once again, I was hooked into this book just like the previous one. Definitely recommend reading this one. It’ll give you those feels that you felt as a teenager wondering if you were making the right decisions and choices in life and even as an adult. It’s a chaotic rollercoaster of emotions that mix the good and bad into this story and makes it so very hard not to keep saying “just one more chapter” then you realize you’ve reached the end.
