Mila and Thatcher first met in book 1, On the Verge. Thatcher was obsessed right away- Mila had no interest. Which, given their personalities was pretty funny.
Fast forward to this book, when Thatcher needs a place to stay, Teddy (Mila's baby brother and Thatch's best friend) offers up her new digs. What ensues is a lot of Thatcher following Mila around, looking for a little attention.
I really enjoyed the overall plot of this book. The merging of factions in the Bratva in New York makes for a good background for Thatcher's strengths to shine. I loved the progression of his and Mila's relationship. As she slowly opens up to him physically, she in turn sees more of his personality and how they could work together as a couple.
The domination dynamic just works with the two of them. The spice in the book is definitely a lot of fun. I loved the mix of their intimate times being very intense, then how sweet it is when Thatcher just happens to stay in her bed all night.
Thatcher is the opposite of toxic masculinity- encouraging Mila to be her bada self- and he has no shame in anyone else knowing how she is much scarier than he is.
This book is for anyone who loves mafia books- just wants a little more girl power. You will not be disappointed by Mila. She controls her area like a boss, and manages to get her revenge and her man in the end too.
