Lust (ARC)

Book: Lust by Kathryn Ann Kingsley

Lust is the first novel of the Flowers in Hell series. It is a fast-paced story, and while at times it can feel very disjointed, it offers a very interesting premise. The setting itself is like a version of the Wild West, which is an interesting way to view Hell, and each character/demon we come across plays a different part in the world. The story begins when Lilly, the FMC, has two seconds to decide her fate when a bullet in a frozen subway car flies toward her. When she makes her decision she doesn’t realize that the two seconds are now exchanged for an eternity in hell. As she spends more time in Barren, the town that she is in while in Hell, she struggles to grasp the changes and what they mean for her.

I did end up struggling through this story, but while this book did not end up being for me, if you are someone who enjoys dark fantasy and dark romance, then this might be the novel for you.

Thank you so much to The Nerd Fam for the gifted ARC. All opinions are my own.
