Book: Realm of Wind and Vines by Marion Blackwood

The lovers to enemies dynamic nearly cracked my heart in two. This book continues the series exactly where we left off in book 3 with pain and heartbreak for Selena, who now has suffered their mate bond severed due to her saving Draven's life. But the damage to that bond is so difficult to endure and you grieve right along with Selena. Poor Draven doesn't know why he hates her and is attracted to her at the same time. Selena does her best to co-exist with Draven's fury towards her, while she tries to find a way to get back their bond. On top of all of this, they are still on the verge of war with the Iceheart clan in ordet to try and free their people from the Iceheart's control. They now must rely on the other Dragon Shifter clans and the Dryads to agree to help them go to war, in order to unseat and destroy the Iceheart's. The road they travel on this journey is not easy nor kind, especially to Selena and you watch her inner turmoil, which leaves you wishing you could change things!
No matter what ideas or maneuvers they come up with, things never go as planned and heartbreaking events threaten to destroy everything they have worked for including Selena's heart and soul. This book had me in a ch0k3hold the entire time. I feverishly read it within 3 days and the ending sent me over the emotional edge. I can safely say that I am obsessed with this series and need the final book to see what becomes of their war and the sacrifices they are going to have to make in order to have a chance at overthrowing the Iceheart's. This series is immediately gripping, and pulls at all the heartstrings. Marion does a wonderful job at building her world and characters, and just when you have something figured out? Guess what?? Plot twist, ya don't! I definitely recommend this series for my Romantasy bookish peeps, who love hot dragon shifters and intense scenes that keep you guessing!
Thank you, Marion Blackwood, Scarlett Press & Netgalley for this gifted e-ARC. This review os of my own thoughts and opinions.
