Book: Beecham's Infirmary for the Affluent Afflicted by Briar Somerset

This was such a perfectly paced prequel that immediately snagged my attention. The investigator from out of town teams up with a seamstress in town in an attempt to get answers of a missing woman whose family got a vague letter from the infirmary about her death. The pair hit it off in more ways than one and Jacques admits himself for answers, but may have gotten more than he bargained for.
Only feedback that stopped this from being five stars was Jacques being French but having a very English accent. It threw me off, but the immersive duet was top notch!
