Thank you Hachette Audio for the gifted audiobook. All opinions are my own.
There’s just something about a snowy, remote location that immediately draws me into a story. Polar Bears, being “snowed-in”, and warm a cozy lodge; I absolutely fell in love with the setting in this one.
I really enjoyed the MC, Aadya’s, journey. Recently broken up with her good-for-nothing fiancé, trying to improve her standing at her job, wanting to continue traveling the world, and not wanting to be held back by a relationship.
I also loved seeing grumpy lodge owner, Reid, completely melt for her. 🥰
And the forced proximity in this one … chef’s kiss .
A wonderfully cozy read to snuggle up with this winter! (Or when you wish it were winter. 🤭)
Audiobook notes: I really enjoyed the voices and performances of the dialogue, but did find that the “in-between” sections were maybe a little monotone? 😬 It wasn’t unlistenable or anything, it just wasn’t a favorite audio of mine. Maybe give the sample a try before going the audio route to see what you think.
