Oh gosh!!!
This book was the epitome of dystopian unconventional romance. A great enemies to hate to lovers story. The plot was very centered around the politics and an oppressive regime, while also creating a spot for something to bloom between our MC's. Storm was the perfect example of female rage, but also of grief and how it changes you and how the right support and attentions can help to heal you in ways you didn't expect. And Melek our commander daddy 🥵. I knew there was more to him than met the eye, and his utter devotion to our FMC and his family only made him that much better. This story had me in tears multiple times.. especially a certain scene near the 80% 😫😭, and that ending GUTTED me I was not prepared for THAT. Ugh.
Honestly this one was excellent! And I'm so excited I got to read it early! It beautifully written and such a quick read. I really cannot wait to see where the story goes from here!!
