This is that classic love story of: Girl forced to marry a horrible man then girl says, "absolutely TF not" and runs away to travel the world solo and Vi meets Levi on a hookup site, sleeps with him, catches feelings, then ghosts him by leaving in the middle of the night pissing off Matteo.
Normal romance stuff so far. Then she randomly runs into Levi and Matteo AGAIN in another country because the universe said, “No, we’re not done here.”
They hang out, have a threesome, and Vi starts catching feelings for BOTH of them while simultaneously helping them catch feelings with each other.
Again…all normal romance stuff.
Vi then meets Ruwon in another country, sleeps with him, catches feelings for him too, and (because apparently this is how people communicate) HE leaves in the middle of the night.
Eventually, Vi runs into all 3 men in ANOTHER COUNTRY, and they decide they should stop fighting fate and give this whole thing a shot.
Naturally, horrible ex-fiancé comes back to blackmail her and she goes to protect the boys. They let her go before getting their heads out of their asses to formulate a plan to get her back.
Then they live happily ever after, because the secret to true love is international travel, terrible communication, and running into the same 3 men in increasingly glamourous locations.
And honestly? Only Mandy Muse could make this level of international chaos work.
Levi, the nerdy computer coder who's putting himself out there to get over Matteo (the straight BFF) that he's been in love with forever. Doesn't want to ruin the friendship by saying something.
Matteo, the playboy lawyer who is "straight"…until he realizes that maybe he's not and Levi is more than a bro. He also really likes Vi, and having feelings for TWO people while refusing to risk his friendship with either of them is the solution he settles on.
And then there's Ruwon, the actor fresh out of mandatory military service, trying to figure out whether he wants to return to acting or walk away from it completely.
I absolutely LOVED the guys' parents. We actually got a so much of them throughout the story. Was such a great addition.
Recap: romance, friendship, questionable communication skills, international coincidence, emotional chaos, international scandals, and three men finally realizing they need to get their shit together.
And somehow, it works.
