Suspense, intrigue, betrayal and more! This book is full of so much! The world and magic system was easy to understand and follow. The characters had a lot of depth. I enjoyed getting to know the FMC and MMC along with the side characters. I felt immersed in the world and the book flowed really well. So many things happened right after another that there was no chance of being bored.
This story is dual POV and is no spice, kisses only. It can be read as a stand alone with no loss to the story or spoilers to the other books in the series. Although, I feel that there is more depth to the stories and connections that are made by reading the other two books first. Definitely a book and series I recommend.
