Oh this was a fun one!
Charlotte (you guys, she’s a librarian named, Charlotte Webb 😍) cannot catch a break. Her Father has been roped into visiting her Stepmother’s family in Arizona AND her ex is not only bringing his fiancée home for the holidays, they’re also getting married. So, as to not lose face, she tells everyone that its all fine, and she isn’t stuck in a rut, she actually already has plans to spend the holidays in Scotland with her Hot Highlander Boyfriend…👀
And wouldn’t you know it, she just happens to meet a hot Highlander on the airplane, along with his sweet daughter (dealing with some pretty intense grief after losing her mother, to which Charlotte can sadly relate), and well, things go from there.
Funny, delightful, sweet, and swoony, all tied up in a cute little bow, taking me away to Scotland (one of my favorite places in the world) so of course I was bound to love it. (But, honestly, I was already in love with the whole thing before the plane even took off! 🥰)
Audiobook notes: Stewart Crank and Alex Raby were both amazing! I don’t think I’ve ever listened to either of them before (?) but I felt they both really nailed the accents, the humor, and the swoon. A huge 👍 on the audio!
