Tropes: forced proximity, opposites attract, millionaire, and fake dating
The story features Matty and Florian as the main characters. They met out of the blue when Matty clumsily knocked a tray of drinks onto Florian. It was a bit shaky at first 'cause of that event, but then they agreed on a "fake boyfriend" thing so Matty would help Florian out at an art event.
This book was cute. I really enjoyed the back-and-forth between Matty and Florian. It was pretty hilarious in spots, but there were also some moments that got kinda emotional. At first, I wasn't really into Matty's character. I thought he was being pretty rough on Florian, but as the story went on, it made sense why he was so intense. I really related to the challenges Matty experienced with anxiety and depression. I could relate to the challenges experienced by Gabriel, Florian's brother, as well.
This book was a great read for me. I wasn't expecting to get all emotional in some spots, but it actually made the book way better. Looking for a cute rom com that gets a bit deep sometimes? This book's the one.
