The long way found is about two former high school sweethearts reconnecting after over 20 years of no contact. The book was a MM romance that was set in a small town with low angst. The two main characters are Jake and Luke. Jake comes back to town to take a job in his old hometown. He left to join the military after high school and never came back. Luke owns a gym in the town. We see their reunion after over 20 years and how they rekindled their romance. I enjoyed their relationship and how they both grew throughout the book. Luke was my favorite character. He was so funny and cute. He showed a lot of emotional maturity. His interaction with his best friend and her kids was the best. I found the book's writing a bit confusing at first because of its third-person perspective, but I got used to it as I kept on reading. I recommend this book if you love a small-town MM romance without too many problems.
