Evie left Hollywood after the murder of her movie star mother. Now she's back with one goal. Revenge. She has a list. Whoever has a starring role on it will meet their end credits.
But... She hasn't factored in her former main man. Her ex, Sebastien. Now a big-time movie star. He never forgot her. Now she's back, he won't be letting her go. No matter what.
Good For Her by Tylor Paige was a good time. I experienced so many emotions on this thrilling ride. In amongst the unhinged revenge, surprising allies, graphic spice, there are two people that once held a deep connection. At the heart of this book is their struggle to regain what was ripped from them. Getting it back will be every bit as brutal as the way it was taken.
I wanted to give this read five stars. I loved it. The writing style. The plot. Characters. Banter. Even the brutal, unhinged revenge. It was all exciting and well delivered. What brought it down a star, was the pacing. It slowed down significantly and lost some of it's direction around the midway point and took a little too long to recover for me to brush over it. When it was back on track, it was pedal to the metal all the way to the finish.
From pretty much the off, this book reminded me of one of my favourite movies - Heathers. Which was confirmed later in the book when Tylor makes reference to it.
This book is an absolute must-read for anyone who enjoys:
🎬 - Dexter-type revenge
🎬 - Heather's-type angst
🎭 - Dark humour
🎬 - Movie quotes
🎙️ - Top-tier banter
🌶️ - Hard and fast spice
🖤 - Morally grey characters
💕 - Second chance love
I would like to thank Tylor Paige, and Paige and Vine for the opportunity to ARC read Good For Her, in exchange for a honest review. All views are my own.
