Book: Leather & Lark by Brynne Weaver

I didn’t love this quite as much as Butcher & Blackbird, but I still had a great time. I listened to it over the course of a month or so which definitely made it harder to stay immersed, but when I was tuned in, it was funny, chaotic, and very hot.
Lachlan had peak “that’s my wife” energy once he realized how much he loved Lark, and I found that dynamic super satisfying. He’s a grumpy, stabby, soft-hearted mess, and she’s fun but a total disaster in the best way. Their banter was hilarious and the sex scenes were chef’s kiss.
I missed the original narrators quite a bit, but these worked well once I adjusted. The plot didn’t hit as hard for me as book one (the villain felt a little underdeveloped, and some of the tension kind of fizzled) but I still laughed out loud and had fun.
Definitely planning to listen to the third. Bring on more murdery romance.
