This was a really interesting take on the story of King Arthur and the knights of the round table. The story sucked me right in and I found myself fascinated with the authors imagination and creativity adding a new romantacy spin for these characters.
The world building was also so imaginative in this book. I could tell the author had truly done some research into this project.
In this story we follow Linette arriving on her first day of work as a sitter for a woman named Megwyn. They bond immediately and one day when Megwyn wants to sneak out to go for a walk the tables are turned.
Suddenly, we start to find out it’s Linette, our main character that needs help and Megwyn is in charge. An epic journey unravels before us involving characters like Merlin who it turns out is Megwyn's brother.
We discover that Linette has no memory of her childhood other than it was hard and that her entire destiny is interwoven with Megwyn and Merlin’s.
Oh and did I mention blue dragons. Lyzer quickly became my favorite character. The bond that develops between Lyzer and Linette brought me to tears.
Will Linette remember her past and why she is so romantically enthralled with Merlin? 🌶️🌶️
You will have to read the book to find out!
I was provided with an ARC copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
